About Framlingham
Framlingham sits in the heart of Suffolk, surrounded by rolling countryside and traditional villages. The town is dominated by its magnificent Norman castle, which has watched over the market square for nearly a thousand years.
Today, Framlingham is a thriving community of around 3,500 people. The weekly market continues a tradition stretching back to 1272. Independent shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants line the streets, and a strong sense of community spirit runs through everything the town does.
Below the castle walls, the Mere — a medieval ornamental lake — provides one of the finest walks in the area, rich with wildlife and steeped in history.
